The Media Double Standard Among Presidents

This is a perfect example of a double standard by the media and pretty much everybody else. I believe something definitely went wrong by allowing the Christmas Day bomber on the plane in the first place. However, the article below proves when it comes to a Black President and a White President, a double standard is obvious.

An insufficient response

The Obama administration's response to a foiled terrorist incident that could have taken hundreds of lives is laughable. It took a day for Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to take back her statement — echoed by White House spokesman Robert Gibbs on Sunday shows — that the system worked. It "worked" when a passenger had to subdue a terrorist and put out a fire intended to kill everyone aboard because our "system" had allowed Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board a one-way plane without luggage, bound for the United States with his intact U.S.-issued visa, despite his father warning authorities that his son had been radicalized and posed a potential danger.

The arguments over the use of our available, existing technology that can detect the same plastic explosive Richard Reid used in 2001 — the House voted this summer to prevent scanners from being used for primary screening — distract from the real issues of threat assessment highlighted by this frightening episode. What criteria are used to determine potential threats? What is the threshold for "derogatory information" that would move someone like Abdulmutallab from the TIDE (Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment) list to the no-fly list, or at least to a list of people requiring extra screening?

The Obama administration must answer the pertinent questions, and do so as soon as possible, holiday or no holiday. If the administration has been working closely with the Yemeni government to try to contain the growth of al Qaeda in that country, then President Obama should not allow leaks to The New York Times to speak for him; he should tell Americans exactly what he is doing to make sure we are kept safe on his watch. If the Homeland Security policies that permitted this incident are left over from the George W. Bush administration, then new ones need to replace them.

Democrats should be aware that this incident poses very real political problems for their party, should the American public view the administration's response as insufficient or inadequate. This is the first time Democrats have governed in the post-Sept. 11 age of terrorism, and this is their first test. The response thus far is more than disappointing.

Below are some of the vile and racist comments in regards to the article:

Until Democrats understand that political correctness kills Americans, don't expect any solutions from the Oval Office tribesmen. Remember our Fort Hood fallen and pray that not many more would die again until we start profiling Muslim passengers, doing strip searches on those that fit the description and stop servicing African airports with American carriers. Flying is not a right, it's a privilege. Flying to USA is even bigger privilege, not everyone from around the globe is welcome here. Don't you think America would survive without cultural exchanges with Yemen or Nigeria or other "shi.t hole"?

We can't rely on the likes of Janet Napolitano or Barak Hussein to adequately defend this nation from terror. Passengers should act boldly, show initiative by identifying suspects when they board a plane (Arab looking individuals) and form a defensive perimeter around these guys with able-body men willing to defend US freedom and property. When one of them makes a move, they should be neutralized on the spot.

Before I let the TSA agents look up my crotch with those sophisticated scanners I'd like them to profile all Muslims and Africans entering the gate area to give them a good pat down. <<<>>>

Pizdasranka wants to profile all Muslims and Africans, but not Whites like the terrorist Timothy McVeigh. It's ok, I'm old enough to remember when racists like Pizdasranka branded Dr. Martin Luther King a terrorist.

The Christmas Day Bombing Attempt

By no means do I profess to be anywhere near a security expert, but I do rely heavily on my common sense.

When Richard Reid (shoe bomber) attempted to destroy a Boeing 767 on a flight from Paris to Miami by igniting explosives hidden in his shoes, I don’t recall anyone blaming the Bush administration for allowing Richard Reid to board a flight in Paris.

The failed attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab (Christmas Day Bomber) to bring down Northwest Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit is blamed on the Obama administration from everybody, from Rush Limbaugh to Congressman Peter King for allowing Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board a flight in Amsterdam.

The Christmas Day bombing failed attempt proves, according to the chatter from the far right wing nuts and most Republicans, these people are actually disappointed that the terror attempt failed. It should be obvious to any clear thinking person, that people like Congressman Peter King, Dick Cheney, and Rush Limbaugh are interested in one thing and one thing only; A Black man failing as President of the United States of America. Now we have complete idiots like Senator Joe Lieberman advocating for the invasion of Yemen and Iran.

For some reason it’s always the cowards who have never been in the military, or anyone in their family in the military campaigning for war. We have troops who have been on three and four tours to combat zones, when will the cowards campaigning for war join the military and help the troops they claim to support? The terrorists are not willing to kill themselves to kill us because they hate our freedom; they’re willing to kill themselves to kill us because we give countries like Israel billions of dollars and weapons to kill them and their children. Until our foreign policies change, we will definitely see more incidents like the Christmas Day attempted bombing.
