Obama Care Charlatans

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) Congressional hearings got underway today (Thursday, October 24, 2013) to find ways to fix the glitches and make the web-site accessible to all. Wait, that’s not right; let me start over.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) Congressional hearings got underway today (Thursday, October 24, 2013) to find ways for Tea Party Republicans to sabotage the ACA, and disgorge their hatred on President Obama.

Four Republican Congressmen were present for today’s Congressional hearings on the implementation of Obama Care; but first the comments they made in regards of former President Bush’s implementation of Medicare Part D, that was totally unfunded by the Bush administration.

REP. JOE BARTON (R-TX): “This is a huge undertaking and there are going to be glitches. My goal is the same as yours: Get rid of the glitches. The committee will work closely with yourself and Dr. Mark McClellan at CMS to get problems noticed and solved.” [Barton Statement via Archive.org, 2/15/2006]

REP. TIM MURPHY (R-PA): “Any time something is new, there is going to be some glitches. All of us, when our children were new, well, we knew as parents we didn’t exactly know everything we were doing and we had a foul-up or two, but we persevered and our children turned out well. No matter what one does in life, when it is something new in learning the ropes of it, it is going to take a little adjustment.” [Murphy Floor Speech via Congressional Record, 4/6/2006]

REP. MICHAEL BURGESS (R-TX): “We can’t undo the past, but certainly they can make the argument that we are having this hearing a month late and perhaps we are, but the reality is the prescription drug benefit is 40 years late and seniors who signed up for Medicare those first days back in 1965 when they were 65 years of age are now 106 years of age waiting for that prescription drug benefit, so I hope it doesn’t take us that long to get this right and I don’t believe that it will. And I do believe that fundamentally it is a good plan.” [“Medicare Part D: Implementation of the New Drug Benefit,” 3/1/2006]

REP. PHIL GINGREY (R-GA): “I delivered 5,200 babies, but this may be the best delivery that I have ever been a part of, Mr. Speaker, and that is delivering, as I say, on a promise made by former Congresses and other Presidents over the 45-year history of the Medicare program, which was introduced in 1965 with no prescription drug benefit. And what we have done here is add part D, the ‘D’ for ‘drug’ or, if you want, the ‘delivery’ that we have finally provided to our American seniors.” [Gingrey Floor Speech via Congressional Record, 4/6/06]

Listening to these people today, you would have to think they’re schizophrenic; http://www.c-spanvideo.org/event/226159 but wait, that’s not all, it took over six months to iron out the glitches for Medicare Part D.

Democrats Deserve GOP Disparagement

Democrats deserve everything and more of what they’re receiving from Tea Party Republicans (TPR). The very first day Barack Obama became President, Republicans let it be known that they are willing to do any and everything to make the first Black President a failure; Democrats and the President chose to ignore the Republicans’ promise.

Democrats allowed themselves to be brainwashed into accepting the lies Republicans told leading up to the Iraq invasion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senate_Report_on_Pre-war_Intelligence_on_Iraq The majority of media outlets were brain-dead as well; the more Republicans lied about Iraq, the more Democrats and the media kept drinking the kool-aid.

2009 Democrats won the White House with President Obama, held the majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate; their first order of business was to look forward. A few Democrats wanted to hold Republicans accountable for misleading the country in the lead-up to the Iraq invasion.

Moving on to present day politics, Republicans are proving to Democrats just how gullible they were to forgive and forget. Republicans shut-down the government trying to repeal the Affordable Health Care (AHC) law, and tried to blame the shut-down on Democrats while taking a beating in the polls for their efforts.

Now that the AHC law failed to launch properly, Republicans are emboldened to exhume their efforts to kill the AHC law. Republicans are calling for Congressional hearings to be held to find out who should be held accountable for the failure of the AHC law to launch properly, with a profusion of help from the media and some Democrats.

Democrats think Republicans are blocking everything President Obama and Democrats are trying to do for the good of the country now; if Republicans win the White house and both bodies of Congress, Democrats will really feel the wrath of Tea party Republicans. On the other hand, maybe not, President Obama won’t be President anymore; we all know that’s the real reason Tea Party Republicans are pissed-off in the first place.

Affordable Health Care Roll-Out

It’s a known fact the roll-out of the Affordable Health Care (AHC) law was a disaster. With that said, if the people who are against AHC would have been as diligent against the build-up to the war in Iraq, 4,400 brave American soldiers would be alive today. The same people, who campaigned to invade Iraq, are the same people campaigning to invade Iran today.

Tea Party Republicans, the media, and some Democrats are calling for Congressional hearings to explain why the AHC roll-out was a failure; however, these same people didn’t call for anyone to be held accountable for leading this country into a war that shouldn’t have happened. I already know some will say, “You’re still blaming Bush for Obama’s failings.” The only thing I can say to that is, Republicans are still praising Reagan for any and everything good that happens.

Hear are the facts, the people who are against the AHC law has nothing to do with higher health care premiums, the debt ceiling, a government ran health care system, or anything resembling what I mentioned above.

The one and only thing these people are angry about is there’s a Black man living in the White House, period point blank.

Brainwashed or Brain Damaged

I watched Alveda King, niece of the late great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speak at the Value Voters Summit (VVS). The VVS is an event sponsored every year by far right wing Republicans and Tea Party members. After listening to Ms. King speak, I decided to do some research to find out if this woman is brainwashed or brain dead; I found out to my dismay, she’s both.

  • Ms. King branded the NAACP ‘race baiters’ for calling for federal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman.

  • Ms. King stated, “Americans shouldn't fight or debate about the case, because it didn't raise any significant racial issues.” Ms. King also added, “I can assure you my uncle would never wear a hoodie.”

  • Ms. King sued to block the Affordable Health Care Act, citing the bill didn’t go far enough, even though the bill has an opt-out clause for religion-based employers.

Let me clear, I’m not writing about Ms. King because of her pro-life and religious views; I consider myself pro-life in certain circumstances. I believe it’s an outright disgrace for any person to allow themselves to be used as pawns by others to spread their hatred and racists views; and that’s exactly what Ms. King have allowed others to do to her.

The Noble Peace Prize and Education

This year’s winner of the Noble Peace Prize was awarded to The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The favorite for this year’s award, according to American journalists was Malala Yousafzai, the 16-year-old Pakistani girl who at the age of 12 wrote a blog detailing life under Taliban rule. In retaliation the young Ms. Yousafzai was shot in the head and neck in an assassination attempt by Taliban gunmen while returning home on a school bus. Ms. Yousafzai survived the attack, but clung to life unconscious and in critical condition. Later her condition improved enough for her to be sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in BirminghamEngland for intensive rehabilitation. Today Ms. Yousafzai is the face of an outspoken advocate for the Education of children and Human Rights all over the world.

The main reason I focused on this particular subject is because I wanted to bring attention to the poor state of the Education system in America. Ranking High School Educational scores in 33 countries, the highest American students ranked was 22.

  • In Reading, American students ranked ‘Dead Last’ 33!
  • In Math, American students ranked 27th
  • In Science, American students ranked 22nd

In order for our students to do better in their Education, we as parents got to do a better job of informing our children how important English, Math, and Science are important in escalating in future endeavors, regardless of their goals.

We as a society, especially Tea Party Republicans have to stop demonizing teachers as being nonessential employees. Teachers are the caretakers of our children while we as parents are doing what we have to do to make sure bills are paid and food is on the table.

Last but definitely not least, our American students need to get it through their heads that America’s Education system is not something that should be mistaken for some kind of place they go to see who are most popular, and discuss the most viewed video on YouTube.

It just breaks my heart to know that it was a sure death penalty for any slave to be caught in any way trying to upgrade their intelligence, and our young students of today take Education as a given and not an opportunity.

Tea Party and Government Shutdown

As a Vietnam veteran, my heart goes out to the families of the recent fallen soldiers who weren’t compensated immediately due to the government shutdown. With that said, I find it ironic and hypocritical how Tea Party Republicans are showing fake outrage because the federal government didn’t step-in and pay whatever the benefits the fallen soldiers families were due.

I need someone, anyone to explain to me how the government can find the audacity to choose to pay death benefits to families of fallen soldiers, and refuse to fund benefits to hungry children (The Defunding of Food Stamps and Head Start).

Here’s the problem with these phony people. The Tea Party Republicans have complained on every media outlet about how the federal government shouldn't be involved in the lives of the American people. These Fox News brainwashed followers have campaigned how they want the federal government out of Health Care, Education, the Environment, etc.

The only position these complete fools want to interject the federal government are women rights to have say-so of what they choose is best for their Health Care.

Government Shutdown

The government shutdown has nothing to do with the Affordable Health Care law, the debt limit, or anything else the Tea Party Republicans and a few brainwashed coloreds are complaining about. These extremely ignorant people are pissed-off about one thing and one thing only; they just can’t accept the fact that it’s a Black man living in the “White House, period."
