Three Days Away

There are thousands, perhaps millions of veterans at the point of 12.5% of unemployed and the numbers reach higher when it comes to veterans who will be cut from ‘Food Stamps’ and unemployment benefits.

Congressional people we voted for in the House and the Senate can campaign on how much they did to make sure our veterans wouldn't suffer while they bickered with insignificant things that had absolutely nothing to do with our veteran Men and Women were left out of how they suppose to proceed with their everyday lives.

It’s a reason why Democrats and Republicans don’t care about veterans; the majority of the people we voted for don’t have any family members with any skin in the game. If the majority of these people had family members dodging bullets, believe me, these cowards would not allow our sons and daughters to stand in harms way while they wrap themselves in the flag and enjoy Xmas with their loved ones.

Two Soldiers Killed Today in Afghanistan

Two soldiers from the US-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed today (December 23, 2013) in Afghanistan. The death of these soldiers were barely mentioned in US news, there’s a reason why; the media, and the majority of Americans really don’t care. Less than one percent of Americans are sharing the tragedies soldiers deal with everyday in Afghanistan.

We as Americans are too focused on what some ‘Duck Dynasty’ ignorant hillbilly said to pay attention to Americans dying in Afghanistan ten years after George Bush declared “Mission Accomplished.”

Duck Dynasty

I know I’ll get it from both sides on this one. Just wrap this around your brain, and then ask yourself does it make sense. A&E hired Mr. Phil Robertson because he’s a ‘Redneck’; the show became a number one cable show because he’s a redneck. The show Duck Dynasty is based on the lives of hillbilly rednecks, and it’s a successful show. This shows how our society has dumbed down; and we wonder why our education system ranks amongst the lowest when it comes to industrialized countries.

Here’s the part where I’m confused, A&E fired Mr. Phil Robertson because he expressed his redneck views in an interview with GQ. Am I the only one confused, or am I viewing this from a half empty glass point of view?

To me, it’s like hiring Mr. Chiwetel Ejiofor to portray the true story of Mr. Solomon Northup in the movie “Twelve Days a Slave”; and firing him because he did a good job of portraying what slavery was like. I don’t know, maybe I’m the one who needs help, I guest the moral of the way our society is setup these days; do a bad job of what you do, and keep your job.

Just Thoughts

Anonymous accomplished something really significant today, because the accomplishment was done incognito; no one knows what the accomplishment was or who anonymous is.

Years ago when I looked in the mirror, I saw two eyes looking at me; I saw a nice looking person who just happened to be a male. Today when I look in the mirror, I see six eyes looking at me; I see an accomplished man, a father, and a grandfather.

It’s a difference between thinking about the people you care about, and thinking about the people you love. When I try to differentiate the two, I often find myself searching how to convey my feelings without hurting either.

Sometimes I catch myself wishing I had monetary riches beyond what I already have; but when reality kick-in, I realize any human gifted with their health and mental faculties intact, I got all the riches I need.

The best feeling in the world is to love someone, and know for a fact that person love you back. Because I want to leave this on a positive note, I’m not going into what the worst feeling in the world is.

Merry Christmas
and a
Happy New Year!!!

Lie Of The Year

According to PolitiFact.com, “If you like your health care you can keep it” is the lie of the year. My question is this, does that mean ‘WMD in Iraq’ and “Mission Accomplished” qualifies as lies of the decade, or lies of the century?

Obama Administration Most Transparent In History

Most in the media seems to believe the White House should let them know everything that goes on, from what’s on the food menu to a menu of the missions the Navy Seals have upcoming. I honestly believe American citizens should have the right to know certain things our government is doing that affect our lives. The government shouldn't be gathering data on any American citizens unless, they have probable cause he/she are participating in criminal activities; that’s the law, and doing so is breaking the law.

If the media would have known about our government’s planning to raid and capture, or kill Osama bin Laden, there’s a good bet Osama bin Laden would still be alive. My question is this, what is this obsession with people believing they have the right to know everything the government is doing; no matter what?

When it comes down to it, the vast majority of these people complaining about the government gathering their personal business has nothing more than a facebook account with nothing but garbage on it, and a bank account with a zero dollar balance. A thief would be in the red participating in identity theft with their identification.

Why Democrats Does Not Support President Obama

Most Democrats in my opinion are just outright cowards, Republicans show emotion for their cause; whatever the cause may be. Democrats come with soft spoken voices and the majority of times are shouted down by Republicans.

I watched the House of Representatives hearing on the progress of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with Kathleen Sebelius today (December 11, 2013). If Kathleen Sebelius was my wife, sister, or daughter, a few Republicans who questioned her at the hearing today would have gotten a visit from me; and my visit wouldn't have been nothing nice. The level of disrespect Republicans demonstrated towards Kathleen Sebelius was on the level of just plain evilness.

Here’s my problem with Democrats, Republicans trot people out on Fox News complaining about the horrible experiences they encountered with the ACA; come to find out after fact checking these people stories, all were proven to be liars. Democrats trot people out on MSNBC praising the ACA about how their experiences have been nothing but positive since enrolling in the ACA; and it has been proven by way of fact checking that all of these people were truthful.

My question is this, why aren't Democrats waving this in their faces every time Republicans read letters of horror in regards to the ACA they supposedly received from their constituents? The only thing I can come up with is this, there are many Democrats hoping for the failure of President Obama; while wearing a mask of supportiveness.

Black Americans and the Rest

I’ve gotten to the point that Black people either don’t understand or we just happen to be the dumbest people on earth. The Uncle Toms who have penetrated the true real Black people think they got away with something; they know who I’m talking about. Some how these cowards have convinced the racist part of the Tea Party that they’re one and the same.

The Black Tea party members are nothing more than people of color who are disappointed that they were born with skin color and a heavy dose of brainwashing that just can’t come to grips with Whites in tow, why a Black man is President. I refuse to vent on White people who hate on President Obama just because he just happens to be Black and the President.

If President Obama fail in his endeavors to push Legislation that will benefit people of color; we as people of color should owe it to ourselves to shoulder the blame of the President’s short comings. Before people of color blame me for attempting to give them a guilt trip; I’m just saying, where is your intenseness to make sure the President prevail as opposed to the Tea Party Republicans pledging to make sure the President fail? The majority of Republicans have let it be known that their main goal is to make sure President Obama fail.

Where are Black Americans to prove these haters wrong? I’m not asking people to throw rocks while their opponents are firing back with hollow points. I just want to know where you at? The silence from people of color is deafening. It’s as if our eyes are wide shut.

President Obama has been attacked from every direction known to man. This is what this man is faced with each and everyday:

White people attack with rhetoric like, “I’m convinced President Obama just hate White people (Glenn Beck).”

Black people attack with, “As the first Black President, he seems to ignore the plight of Black Americans”.

Hispanics attack with rhetoric like, “Stop deportation now.” Like it’s a magic wand the President can wave and make everything and anything come to fruition.

The gay community attack with the President not doing enough to bring their issues to the front page of news outlets.

Some, but definitely not all, women groups attack by implying that the President doesn’t do enough to pass legislation to make them equal in the work place.

Jews are complaining about the President being soft for allowing Iran to move forward with their ambition to have Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Do these people remember George Bush claims why we invaded Iraq?

I could go on and on, the bottom line is this; most White people just can’t live with the fact that a Black man is calling shots for the most powerful country on earth. Most White people believe they’re bequeathed to that pedestal.

President Nelson Mandela

The same way the whole world rejoiced when Barack Hussein Obama became President of the United States, all of us should feel that we’re indebted for witnessing a man of Mr. Mandela’s perseverance. Nelson Mandela was the number one essence to prove to every living thing on earth should be about respecting the rights of all, while demanding respect from our enemies.

The same way Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. demanded those who adhered to his words not to fight violence with violence; The late great President Nelson Mandela walked out of prison for serving decades of imprisonment for ‘Breathing While Black’, and showing no malice towards those who took his freedom away for demanding ‘Justice and Freedom’ for all.

President Nelson Mandela, your physical, mental, and spiritual stature will surely be missed by all; GOD Bless!!!

Affordable Care Act Part Deux

Before I delve into this, let me point out up-front that I honestly believe most Americans want those who don’t have health care to be able to acquire it. With that said, the marketing for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was inadequately promoted.

It’s always easier to Monday morning quarterback, all of us are better informed to analyze anything after what it is we’re analyzing have launched. In my opinion the Administration should have promoted the ACA on the premise as follows:

“This bill is for the over forty million Americans without Health Care, our goal is to fix that. By voting for this bill these people will no longer have to go to the emergency room for a common cold. Those of us who are already covered will probably see a slight increase in our premiums, but in the long run health care coverage will be lower for all of us. We will no longer have to pay for an emergency room visit for those who don’t have health care coverage; just for those reasons alone, the ACA is a good bill.” Like I said, hindsight is always easier to scrutinize.

If the ACA fixes in regards to the enrollment website and other problems people encountered during the roll-out that the President promised to be fixed by November 30th are mostly small fixes, Democrats will pay a political price. What the price will be who knows? What I do know, if people vote for Republicans because of the debacle of the ACA and things go back to status quo; we all will continue to pay higher prices for health care, because we are subsidizing those who can’t afford it. However, it’s hard for me to envision clear thinking Americans voting for Republicans knowing they’re getting nothing in return for their vote.

If the ACA fixes in regards to the enrollment website and other problems people encountered during the roll-out that the President promised to be fixed by November 30th are fixes people can vividly see that are vastly improved; the Administration should stay on track and push to allow the ACA law to morph into perfection.

The latter would be a win for all Americans, including the haters.
